Q.How are the persistent military ranks determined?
      A.

Every player begins as a Conscript. Every time you complete a task, you will gain a military rank, up to the highest rank of Supreme Commander. (You will, however, gain the highest rank before completing every available task; the truly elite will go above and beyond by collecting every medal!)

To view your progress and to see all available tasks, please visit your Achievements page, which is accessible from your player profile.

Q.I just logged off but my stats have not updated and the "Last Online" stat is wrong.
      A.

There are many factors that affect when your stats are updated. The most important of these is that we cache your stats for up to 30 minutes before reloading them; this allows us to keep the stats site blazingly fast. In addition, your stats are not submitted to us until the map finishes on the server, which may contribute to some additional lag time. Lastly, the "Last Online" stat represents when your stats were last submitted to us—in other words, your stats are current as of the time stated. Remember also that your stats are only tracked when you play on ranked servers.

Q.I have a high score, but I'm not appearing on the leaderboards. Why is that?
      A.

To be ranked on the leaderboards, you must have attained at least the rank of Private and be amongst the top 10,000 players for the stat you are sorting by.

Q.Why is my kills per minute zero even though I have kills with a particular weapon? (And other similar issues)
      A.

Certain calculations, like accuracy, kills per minute, and XP per hour, require you hit a certain threshold before the calculation is calculated. This is to prevent very high stat values, like 30 kills per minute if you killed 1 person in 2 seconds. The thresholds are as follows:

      • Use a weapon for at least 10 minutes for weapon-related "per time" calculations and accuracy calculations.
      • Play the game for at least 10 minutes for global "per time" calculations.
      • Deploy a deployable at least 5 times for "per times deployed" calculations.
      • Accumulate at least 100 XP for XP per hour calculations.
      • Use a vehicle for at least 10 minutes for vehicle-related calculations.
      • Fire at least 100 shots with a vehicle weapon for vehicle weapon-related calculations.
      • Accumulate at least 10 kills and 10 deaths for the kill-death ratio calculation.
Q.Is the Soldier/Aggressor class missing from the "Classes" tab?
      A.

No, there are no tool stats specific to the Soldier/Aggressor, so that class is not listed.

Q.What do the percentage bars on my player profile represent?
      A.

The percentage bars on the "Weapons," "Vehicles," and "Deployables" tabs of your player profile are relative to the greatest value of that particular statistic.

For example, if you have used the Lacerator more than any other weapon, then the percentage bars for each weapon's "Time Used" bar will be that weapon's usage time compared to the amount of time you have used the Lacerator for. So, if you have used the Machine Pistol for two hours and the Lacerator for four, then the Machine Pistol's percentage bar will be half full.

This makes it convenient to see what your preferred weapons, vehicles, or deployables are, and how the others on the page stack up compared to it.

Q.What are XML feeds, and how can I use them to make my own ET:QW stats site?
      A.

An XML file is a type of text file formatted for a computer to understand.

Most pages on this web site contain a link to an XML feed. If you click that link, an XML file will appear. This XML file contains the information that was used to build that particular web page, be it a leaderboard, a profile, or even a search. You can build your own statistics website by downloading these XML files from their respective URLs and interpreting the data.

Please note that these XML feeds are only updated once an hour; it is not beneficial to download them more often than that.

Q.I'm interested in connecting with other people who play Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Where can I go?
      A.

Why not try the official ET:QW community forums? They are located here.
